Golden Crown Casino review 2026

Desk review · terms and player reports checked 5 September 2026 · Reviewed by Leah Morrison · Updated 5 September 2026

A SoftSwiss casino with 7,000 games, AUD and NZD accounts, Apple Pay, Neosurf, seven coins and a clean complaint-resolution record — but its licence moved from Hollycorn N.V. (Curaçao) to Metlait SRL under Tobique 0000064, which we could not confirm on a register.

We have not yet completed our own deposit-and-withdrawal test at Golden Crown Casino. Figures below come from the operator's published terms and independent complaint records; the rating is provisional and will be updated after testing.

Our verdict

Golden Crown has been taking Australian and New Zealand players since 2019 and, on the numbers that matter for getting paid, it does better than most of its peers. Casino Guru lists 23 complaints with none unresolved and a Safety Index of 7.9; AskGamblers shows five complaints, all resolved, with an average response of 19 hours. Trustpilot is more mixed at 3.6 from 217 reviews, but the company answers 94% of the negative ones. That is why it sits on our recommended list.

The recommendation is provisional because of the licence. Until 2025 the casino was run by Hollycorn N.V. under a Curaçao licence that the GCB register still lists, expiring 24 December 2025. Casino Guru and AskGamblers now name Metlait SRL of Costa Rica as the operator, under Tobique Gaming Commission licence 0000064 and an Anjouan licence. We could not confirm the Tobique number (the register returned an error) and could not find Metlait or Golden Crown on the Anjouan register pages we could reach. The official site itself blocked every page we requested, so the licence footer, the restricted-countries clause and the bonus terms below all come from third-party quoters.

The A$15,000 welcome headline is not the reason to play here. It carries 40x wagering, a €/$2 maximum bet, a 14-day clock and — per Wizard of Odds — an 800x requirement on table games, and Casino Guru flags seven unfair clauses in the terms including bonus-hunting confiscation rules and a short KYC window. Deposit modestly, verify your account before you need to withdraw, and treat the bonus as optional. We have not run our own deposit-and-withdrawal test.

What we liked
Complaint handling is good: Casino Guru 23 complaints, 0 unresolved; AskGamblers 5 complaints, 100% resolved, 19-hour average reply
Wide cashier — Visa/Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, POLi, Neosurf, bank transfer and seven coins; crypto and e-wallet withdrawals listed as instant
Around 7,000 games from 120+ studios including Evolution live tables; Casino Guru found no fake games
High withdrawal ceilings: A$15,000 a day, A$30,000 a week, A$90,000 a month
What to watch
Operator and licence changed from Hollycorn N.V. (Curaçao) to Metlait SRL (Tobique/Anjouan) and we could not confirm the new licence numbers on either register; an AskGamblers forum thread calls it licence hopping
Bonus terms are harsh: 40x, €/$2 max bet, 14 days, 800x on table games; Casino Guru flags seven unfair T&C clauses
Recurring complaints about withdrawal delays, repeated selfie/document rejections, and one self-exclusion request that was not honoured
No PayID on any independent payment list; no deposit or loss limits, only self-exclusion; no weekend cashouts

Bonuses: what the terms actually say

The official Australian homepage (goldencrowncasino.com/en-AU, read 7 September 2026) confirms the headline offer — “100% up to $15,000 + 300 free spins” — but the bonus-terms page did not open for an unregistered visitor, so the wagering and bet-limit figures here are what Casino Guru, AskGamblers, LCB and Wizard of Odds quote from it. The first-deposit offer is 100% up to A$15,000 (NZ$15,000 for New Zealand accounts, €/$1,000 in EUR and USD) plus 300 free spins, with a A$45 minimum deposit for the bonus. Wagering is 40x the bonus amount; Wizard of Odds puts the table-game requirement at 800x, which in practice means play pokies or do not take it. The maximum bet while wagering is €/$2 and the bonus expires after 14 days. Affiliates circulate the code CROWN1, which we could not check against the casino.

Casino Guru also lists a second-deposit-style 50% up to $6,500 plus 60 spins and two reloads — 75% up to $500 plus 50 spins, and 50% up to $500 — without stating wagering for any of them. Wednesday free spins (20, 30 or 50 for a $20, $30 or $40 deposit, codes GOLDWED20/30/50) are marketed by some sites as no-deposit; they are not. A 10% crypto deposit bonus at 0x wagering is claimed by one affiliate and unverified. There is a points-based loyalty programme that converts real-money bets into cashback and VIP invitations; the cashback percentages are not published anywhere we could reach.

Casino Guru flags seven unfair clauses in the general terms, including confiscation for “bonus hunting” or low-risk betting and a short verification window.

PayID is not on the official cashier as far as we can tell: it is missing from Casino Guru’s 25-method list, from LCB and from betpokies.co.nz, and appears only on unofficial mirror domains. POLi and bank transfer are the confirmed Australian bank routes.

The minimum deposit is quoted as €20 (LCB, Wizard of Odds) and the minimum withdrawal as €20 (LCB) or €30 (betpokies); we could not find an AUD figure. Withdrawal limits for AUD and NZD accounts are A$15,000 a day, A$30,000 a week and A$90,000 a month, which is generous by the standards of this market. AskGamblers reports no deposit or withdrawal fees, but LCB notes the terms reserve the right to charge transaction fees “in certain occasions”, and cashouts are not processed at weekends. KYC — government ID plus a recent bill — is required before the first payout and is quoted at 24–48 hours. Complaints on Casino Guru and Trustpilot repeatedly mention selfies and documents being rejected several times over, and one Neteller deposit sat pending for more than 30 hours.

Pokies and games

Golden Crown runs on the SoftSwiss platform. LCB counts 7,034 games, 6,691 of them slots, from studios including Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Evolution, Nolimit City, Playtech, BGaming, Yggdrasil, Playson and Microgaming; Casino Guru puts the studio count at 123 and reports that it found no fake games. Playson is where the Hold & Win-style pokies live. No source we checked names Aristocrat titles or the usual Big Red and Queen of the Nile clones, so we cannot say they are present.

The live casino is Evolution, confirmed by Casino Guru and AskGamblers. One affiliate claims “14,000+” games; we use LCB’s count.

Licence and safety

Three licences are attached to this brand and we could verify only the old one. Casino Guru, AskGamblers and betpokies.co.nz say the operator is now Metlait SRL of Costa Rica, licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission in New Brunswick, Canada, as TGC 0000064, with an Anjouan (Comoros) licence ALSI-202509073-FI2 alongside. The Tobique register at thetgc.ca returned an error when we tried it, and neither of the two Anjouan register pages we could reach lists Metlait or Golden Crown. The earlier Curaçao GCB licence OGL/2023/176/0095 is on the regulator’s registry for Hollycorn N.V., expiring 24 December 2025 — but that is the previous operator, and affiliate mirrors still show its footer. An AskGamblers forum thread describes the Hollycorn-to-Metlait move as “licence hopping”. Metlait’s stable includes Richard Casino, Spinjo, Lucky7even and about two dozen others.

Complaint data is the brand’s best evidence. Casino Guru: Safety Index 7.9, 23 complaints — 11 resolved, 11 rejected, one open, none unresolved — no blacklist entries, although disputed sums include A$17,500, C$15,000 and €2,200 and the most recent case (about three weeks old) concerns a late withdrawal and verification trouble. AskGamblers: 7.5 out of 10, five complaints, all resolved. Trustpilot: 3.6 from 217 reviews, 67% five-star and 18% one-star. AskGamblers notes there are no deposit or loss limits, only self-exclusion, and one Casino Guru complaint says an account stayed open after a self-exclusion request. We found no ACMA action against the domain. Offshore casinos are prohibited from offering services to Australians under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, whatever their own terms say; Australia and New Zealand do not appear in the restricted list that Casino Guru, LCB and Chipy quote, which names only Ohio.

Mobile and support

There is no native app; the site is a browser-based SoftSwiss mobile build. Live chat runs 24/7 in five languages according to Casino Guru, and email goes to support@goldencrowncasino.com. There is no phone line. Several Trustpilot reviewers describe chat as feeling automated, but the company replies to most negative reviews and AskGamblers’ 19-hour average complaint response is quicker than most casinos on this site.

Official site and login

Log in at goldencrowncasino.com; the Australian pages sit under /en-AU and the New Zealand pages under /en-NZ. The brand also runs numbered domains — goldencrowncasino1.com, goldencrowncasino8.com, goldencrowncasino9.com and goldencrowncasino101.com all rank in search — and a numbered mirror the operator itself points to is the only safe route if the main domain is blocked. Note that goldencrown.casino is not the casino: it is an affiliate landing page with no login or cashier, and goldencrownscasino.org, casinosgoldencrown.com and goldencrown-aus.com are the same kind of marketing page. Register only via the official domain or a link you trust. Sister sites in the same Metlait/Hollycorn stable include Richard Casino, Spinjo, Lucky7even and Slots Gallery.

FAQ

Is Golden Crown Casino legit?
It is a real casino that has operated since 2019 and its complaint record is better than average — Casino Guru shows 23 complaints with none unresolved, and AskGamblers shows five, all resolved. The weak point is the licence. Review sites now name Metlait SRL under a Tobique Gaming Commission licence (0000064) plus an Anjouan licence, replacing the old Hollycorn N.V. Curaçao licence, and we could not confirm either new number on a public register. We list it provisionally and would keep balances modest until that is settled.
Is there a Golden Crown Casino no-deposit bonus?
Not on any source that quotes the official promotions page. The 'GOLDWED' Wednesday free spins that affiliates advertise as no-deposit require a $20–40 deposit, and the '60 free spins via View Stories' and '30 free spins no deposit' claims appear only on affiliate sites. The code CROWN1 for the welcome bonus is also quoted by affiliates rather than the casino; we could not check it against the official site, which blocked our requests.
Does Golden Crown accept PayID?
We could not confirm it. PayID is absent from the 25-method list on Casino Guru, from LCB's list and from betpokies.co.nz; only unofficial mirror sites claim it. The cashier sits behind registration. Assume no. POLi, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Neosurf and crypto are the confirmed Australian deposit routes.
How long do Golden Crown withdrawals take?
Verification is quoted at 24–48 hours, then crypto and e-wallets are described as instant and cards or bank transfer take 1–3 business days (LCB) or 1–5 days (AskGamblers). AskGamblers notes cashouts are not processed at weekends. Player complaints describe delays and repeated document rejections, so complete KYC before you request a payout. We have not measured it ourselves.
