Casino Mate review 2026
A 2011 Microgaming brand that left Australia in 2017 and now runs a 39-studio crypto lobby for NZ$, C$ and euro accounts with no licence we can find; AskGamblers has terminated its listing over unpaid withdrawals while a dozen 'Casino Mate Australia' mirror sites sell offers the operator does not make.
Our verdict
Casino Mate is one of the most-searched casino names in Australia, and almost none of that traffic reaches the casino. The brand that Australians remember — the green Microgaming site with the AU$1,400 bonus and the 1800 number — closed its doors to Australian players in September 2017 when the Interactive Gambling Act was amended, and every current data point says it never reopened them: Casino Guru's March 2026 tables list only CAD, EUR and NZD accounts, and casino-mate.com geo-blocks whole countries at the door. The 'Casino Mate Australia' sites that rank for the name are affiliate mirrors that link to other casinos.
The site that still operates, for New Zealand and Canadian players, is a different animal from the 2011 original. Casino Guru names the owner as Jacked Affiliates Ltd — the same company behind House of Jack, whose affiliate programme also carries King Johnnie, Stellar Spins and Wolf Winner — and says plainly that it holds no licence. There is no licence number anywhere to check against a register. AskGamblers has marked the listing terminated, scores it 1 out of 10 and holds three unresolved complaints about withdrawals of €1,400 to US$4,000 that were never paid after documents were approved.
Against that, Casino Guru rates the same casino 7.6 with only two rejected complaints, the lobby is genuinely large (39 studios including Evolution and Play'n GO), and the 80 welcome spins are wager-free. If you are in New Zealand and want to try it, use an e-wallet or crypto, skip the 50x deposit bonuses and keep balances well inside the NZ$10,000 weekly limit. If you are in Australia, the honest answer is that this casino does not want your account, whatever the mirror sites say.
Bonuses: what the terms actually say
The welcome package is four deposit matches: 100% up to $200 plus 20 free spins on the first deposit, then 50% up to $300, $400 and $500 with 20 spins each, for a headline total of $1,400 and 80 spins. Casino Guru shows the tiers in Canadian dollars; New Zealand review sites show the same numbers in NZ$. There is no Australian-dollar version because there are no Australian-dollar accounts.
The terms, as quoted by Correct Casinos, are the weak point: the bonus must be wagered 50 times with bets no larger than $20, it expires after 30 days, and winnings convert to a maximum of $5,000 per bonus. The free spins are the better half of the offer — their winnings are stated to be wager-free by both LCB and Correct Casinos. A $20 deposit is needed to qualify; we could not find a game-contribution table or confirm whether the 50x applies to bonus only, because the official bonus page is unreachable from our locations.
Recurring offers quoted by review sites are a Monday reload of 40% up to $200, a 35% “Perfect Match” up to $70 and weekend bonuses of 30–40% up to $500 or 40 free spins, all at 40x. None is confirmed on the operator’s site, and there is no no-deposit bonus anywhere except in affiliate copy.
Banking: deposits and withdrawals
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Stated time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard | $10+ | Visa only, per older reviews | 3–7 days (cards) |
| Neteller, Payz, MiFinity | $10+ | Neteller, Payz | Instant after 24 h hold |
| Neosurf, Flexepin, CashtoCode, Cashlib | $10+ | Not available | — |
| Bank transfer | Yes | $50+ | 3–5 business days |
| BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, DOGE, XRP | $10+ | Reported (CasinoFreak: 0–12 h) | Up to 24 h |
PayID is not on the official cashier, and neither is POLi or Apple Pay; the one site claiming PayID for “Casino Mate Australia” is an affiliate mirror that does not link to the casino. Interac and INSTADEBIT on the list serve Canadian accounts.
Minimum withdrawal is $50 (€50 by bank transfer, per Wizard of Odds). Casino Guru records limits of 10,000 a week and 40,000 a month in NZ$, C$ or euros; Casino Listings adds a 24-hour holding period and says payouts are only processed Monday to Thursday. Standard document verification applies before the first withdrawal — Wizard of Odds lists KYC as same-day, one LCB member calls it slow. We found no published fees. The number that matters is the AskGamblers file: three withdrawals of €1,400 to US$4,000 that the complainants say were never paid after their documents were approved.
Pokies and games
The 2011 Casino Mate ran Microgaming and nothing else. The current lobby, per Casino Guru’s March 2026 provider list, spans 39 studios: Games Global (Microgaming’s successor, so Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck II are still there), Play’n GO, Booongo, Playson, Platipus, Wazdan, BGaming, Novomatic, Quickspin, Yggdrasil, Betsoft, Relax Gaming, 3 Oaks, Spribe and PG Soft among them. Booongo and Playson are where the Hold & Win, Dragon Link-style pokies live; there are no Aristocrat titles. Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Push Gaming and Hacksaw Gaming are absent from the current list, although older reviews still mention Pragmatic. Correct Casinos counts 1,200+ titles; LCB’s database says 4,767 slots.
Live dealer play comes from Evolution alongside Lucky Streak, Vivo Gaming and n2-LIVE, so the usual roulette, blackjack and game-show tables are covered. Casino Listings notes that Games Global titles are blocked for Australian IPs, which is one more sign the operator does not serve that market.
Licence and safety
We could not find a licence. Casino Guru’s review says “Casino-Mate does not hold any official gambling license”; LCB marks it “No license”; Casino Listings (March 2026) calls it “unlicensed and not regulated” and notes the operator “is trying very hard to conceal their identity”. AskGamblers’ older listing says Curaçao Gaming Control Board but gives no number, and with no number there was nothing to look up on the GCB register. Casino Guru names the owner as Jacked Affiliates Ltd, which also owns House of Jack and runs the affiliate programme for King Johnnie, Stellar Spins, Wolf Winner and Jackpot Jill. The brand’s original owner, Vegas Partner Lounge, held Malta and eCOGRA credentials that lapsed years ago.
The complaint record splits. Casino Guru: Safety Index 7.6, two complaints (an NZ$80,000 malfunction dispute from a New Zealand player and a A$300 bonus complaint from an Australian), both rejected, 790 black points, plus two “somewhat unfair” clauses — confiscation for low-risk play and for self-exclusion at another casino. AskGamblers: listing terminated, CasinoRank 1/10, twelve complaints with three unresolved. We could not fetch ACMA’s blocked-domain list to confirm whether casino-mate.com is on it. We could not read the restricted-countries clause directly; the evidence that Australia is excluded is the 2017 withdrawal, the absence of AUD accounts and the geo-block itself.
Mobile and support
There is no native app; the site runs in a mobile browser. Live chat is advertised 24/7 in English, email goes to CMSupport@casino-mate.com with a separate CMbanking@ address for payment queries, and New Zealand players have a 0800 451 134 toll-free number. The Australian 1800 006 285 line still appears in older listings but there is no Australian account to attach it to. Note that the official domain refused our connections from two countries outright — if you get an “Access Denied” page, the casino has decided your country is not one it serves.
Official site and login
The official domain is casino-mate.com and the login sits on that site. An “Access Denied” page saying the owner has restricted your country is the casino’s own geo-block, not an ISP block. When the site did open for us (7 September 2026, from Europe), its banking page offered a country selector of Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and “Rest of the World” — Australia is not on it — and the footer named no licence or company. Australians have reportedly been unable to play since September 2017. The sites ranking for “Casino Mate login” in Australia — casinomate-australia.com, matecasino-aus.com, casinomate-aud.com and casinos-mate.net — are affiliate marketing pages that do not even link to casino-mate.com, and several advertise PayID and an A$10,000 package the operator does not offer. Register only via the official domain or a link you trust. Its sister site is House of Jack, with Stellar Spins and King Johnnie on the same affiliate programme.
